Spottedheartlifted her head high and breathed in. Today was her first day of training with her new apprentice Brightpaw. She heard the ferns russle in front of her den and mewed, "Guess that's her right now!" Her tail tingled with excitment.

Brightpaw runs into the den, carrying some Juniper Berries that she found just outside the camp. "Here I am Spottedheart!:

Spottedheart staired in surprise. "Woah! Hey Brightpaw! I'll show you my stash of berries, over here." She directed her tail towrds a pile of neatly sorted herbs in slits of a rock. "We needed more juniper, thanks! So I was thinking, do you want to test out your memory first, see if you remember most of these herbs I used on you when you were a kit?"

Brightpaw's eyes shone with excitement as she purred with serious look on her face. "I would love that Spottedheart!"

"Nice!" Spottedheart purred. "Do you remember any names of herbs? It'll be easier to start off with them."

"Catmint, Watermint, Tansy, Thyme, Wild Garlic, Yarrow..." Brightpaw starting to name from memory, she could never forget their scents and what they were for.

"Yes you're correct!" Spottedheart purred, "Now make sure you remember, Wild Garlic is mainly used for sirious wounds, like rat bites. But those other herbs you stated are for medical conditions." The she-cat got to her paws and grasped some yarow in her jaws. "Do you remember that time I had to make you swallow this yucky leaf when you had deathberries?"

"WHO COULD FORGET?! I remember Firestar had to order me to calm down and eat it" Brightpaw looked at the Yarrow with disgust.

Spottedheart couldn't help meowling out a laugh of amusement. "And then you vomitted, because that's what yarrow does, right?" She put down the yarrow, and picked up a Thyme leaf and tossed it on Brightpaws ear. "I'm sure you remember this little guy! You ran into my den and got into my thyme leaves as a kit, and they got tangled up in your fur!" Spottedheart couldn't stop the memories from flooding into her head of the past.

"So I was a little trouble maker, now please get IT OUT OF MY FUR," Brightpaw started to run in circles trying to get it off her fur.
